Betty Bergeson
Funeral services for 91 year old Betty Bergeson were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Madison, Minn. Rev. Thomas Puffe officiated at the service. Special music was provided by Eunice Mork, organist.
Marjorie Mathews
Marjorie Mathews, age 91 and 11 months, passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, at the Hendricks Nursing Home in Hendricks, Minn. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at Nicolai Lutheran Church in Canby, Minn., with Rev. David Tilney officiating. Burial will be in the Nicolai Lutheran Cemetery, rural Canby.
Paul Anderson
Paul Warren Anderson, formerly of Canby and most recently of Alexandria, Minn., passed away on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at Bethany on the Lake in Alexandria. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Canby. Visitation will be held from 5–7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept.
Kenneth Evjen
Kenneth Harold Evjen Jr. passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Sunday, Sept. 6, surrounded by friends and family. He was 73 years old and was on hospice care.
He was born in Clarkfield, Minn., to parents Kenneth H. Evjen Sr. and Elizabeth “Irene” Evjen (Johnson). He graduated from Canby High School in 1970.
Rosella Kallhoff
Rosella Kallhoff, 96, of Canby, Minn., passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at the Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson, Minn. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Sept. 14 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Canby, with burial at the St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery in Madison, Minn.
